Bay Horse House is steeped in history, dating back to 18th century it was a former coach house and inn. A previous owners Grandfather & family were passing through Easingwold when his horse cast a shoe. They stopped to get their horse re-shoed & they fell in love with the charm of the area and decided to stay.
The original horseshoe is perfectly placed in one of the beams in the sitting room, a lovely sentiment! The Grade II listed house has been lovingly updated, the juxtaposition between the listed front and modern orangery at the rear works perfectly.

Step Inside
​
Walk through the soft grey painted wooden door into a useful vestibule with original panelled inner door into the dining room. There is a wonderful sense of history created by the stunning blend of exposed brick and original wooden beams. Continue through a beamed archway into the sitting room with original brick fireplace, we can imagine entertaining and having super family gatherings, it is perfect for cosy evenings and hanging Christmas stockings too!
Head through to the breakfast kitchen with base and wall mounted cupboards and plenty of worksurface for a busy cook. A glazed door leads to a delightful orangery bathed in natural light, the perfect place for relaxing to look out on to the landscaped garden. It has under floor heating. There is a cloakroom with wc & washing machine.

Upstairs

The turnaround staircase has a window overlooking the rear allowing lots of natural light to flood in. The landing is a generous size with a reading area. The master bedroom has a Emperor size bed, Toddler bed if required & double fitted wardrobes. There are two further double bedroom which houses a lovely old French double bed and solid oak furniture.
The family bathroom has a luxurious vibe, with sunken bath and separate shower cubicle, ideal for the morning rush or a leisurely soak.

Outside

The garden has been lovingly landscaped.
There is a choice of seating areas, BBQ with a circular paved terrace or raised decked area, ideal for alfresco dining or simply relaxing with a G&T watching the sun go down.

Leave the Market Place via Little Lane. Turn right on to Long Street, the property is situated on the right-hand side.
Local Life in Easingwold
Easingwold Is one of North Yorkshires hidden gems. The traditional cobbled market square encompassed by beautiful Georgian architecture and pretty green exudes so much character, charm and warmth. It really is a picture-perfect town.
If that isn't enough, Easingwold offers a fabulous array of amenities, from independent shops to cater for every need, and along with the weekly Friday open air market, recreational facilities, it really does have it all.
To name but a few, enjoy a latte at The Fika Room,
lunch at The Olive Branch and Dinner at The George! There are gift and clothing boutiques for that special present, flower shop, galleries, a butcher, a baker, everything except a candle stick maker!
Situated at the edge of the Howardian Hills you are a stone's throw away from beautiful scenery and woodland walks.
There are excellent transport links to the A19 and A1. A regular bus service, and with York Station less than half an hour away.
